Leg Warmers!

Ladybird Designs now offers leg warmers for infants and toddlers! As the weather gets cooler, every baby/toddler needs a pair of leg warmers! They are not only adorable, but functional too. Leg warmers make diaper changes quick and easy (no pants to pull on and off!). They can add an extra layer for colder days (put a pair on under or over pants). They are also great for crawlers to protect those chubby little knees! Keep a pair in your diaper bag for quick changes in weather or clothes! And they're not just for girls, they are perfect for boys too! Get your order in now and give them as gifts for the holidays.

The Newest Addition

Sorry again for not posting anything lately, but I have a good reason this time: Oliver James was born August 1. He weighed 9.3lbs!!! So, needless to say, I've been recovering. He is a wonderful baby, we are so lucky. And he has been a excellent model for Ladybird Designs!

I haven't been doing a lot of new designs, but I did just complete a custom order for the twin set. It turned out really cute. Hopefully more new things to come soon. Thanks for understanding my little hiatus.

I'm Sorry!

Sorry I've been MIA for a while. I am now getting to the end of my pregnancy, and actually could have the baby any day now. Unfortunately for you, this means I am tired and not feeling especially creative. Sorry! Bare with me and after the baby is here and we are settled I will be back!

Until then, have you checked out 77 Kids? Specifically Little77? Adorable clothes for babies and kids!

And here is a peek at my growing belly (just so you know I'm not making this up!)

Custom Item

Today I made a custom item for a good friend. Her friend is having a baby and their last name is Jester, so she wanted a onesie with a jester on it. I think it turned out really cute!

i don't know if you can tell, but there are tiny pearls and a crystal on the tips of the hat.

Don't forget, we can make just about anything you can dream up!

The New Girl Item!

I can finally reveal the new girl item I told you about last week. It's a tutu! I can make it with a onesie, like a tutu oneie (but removable for washing) or you can buy just the tutu (for toddlers and whatnot). What little girl doesn't love both dancing AND playing dress up??? And they are so fashionable now that she can wear it out and about too!

This one was made with an Inital Onesie which can be purchased separately here (just let me know what you want appliqued on your onesie).

and here is the onesie! You can purchase this here.

New item for the girls

Today I made an adorable new item for little girls of all ages. I can't wait to share it with you, but I made this one as a gift, so I'm going to hold off posting it until she sees it. i hope she likes it, and that you will too!

Since I have nothing to show you, I'll put a link up for a new kids designer I discovered (on kidstylefile) and LOVE, Mini Rodini. Here are some cute items Kidstylefile was featuring today, but check out the website, it will definitely make you want to buy everything!

*New* Pacifier Clips!

Today I created a pacifier clip. This is an adorable way to keep your baby's/toddler’s pacifier attached. This one has a felt owl, but I can make just about anything you can dream up! So let me know what you’re interested in. On one end, the clip is attached to a matching ribbon (and the ends have been treated to prevent fraying). On the other end, a piece of elastic to hold the pacifier. For more information, or to order, please visit my etsy store.

I'm back!

I'm back home after a lovely few days at the beach. It was really nice and relaxing, but it's good to be home too!

Today I made a custom sunhat. It's for a baby girl and I think it's pretty cute.

I have so many ideas of things I want to make this week, so let's hope I find the time!

I forgot...

We are back from our anniversary trip, but I also forgot to mention that I am going to be away through Friday on a beach trip with my family. But don't worry! I'm thinking up lots of new designs for LBD, and when I get back I will be so refreshed and excited! Sorry again for the absence, but here's a little glimpse of why I'll be MIA for a week.

Have a great week, and I'll be back on Monday!

Have a good weekend!

Unfortunately I have nothing new to show you today. But I did receive some beautiful new fabrics that I had ordered, including an oil cloth from Amy Butler's Love collection. It's delicious and I can't wait to make something awesome out of it. I have lots of ideas for it, so we'll see what I decide on.

This weekend is my husband and my anniversary! We are going out of town for a long weekend. Sorry for the absence, but I'm really excited for a mini vacation before the baby comes!

Onesie Dachshund Twin Set!

I can now reveal that super secret project I had been working on a couple of weeks ago: it's a onesie set just for twins! Some of you may know my sister is expecting twins, and as soon as I found out, I planned to make this. I was going to make them regardless of their gender, but when she found out they are both girls, I of course HAD to add ruffles! They turned out really cute, if you'd like to order a set for yourself, or someone you know, please visit my etsy store.

Big Sister Tee's

Sorry I've been MIA for a few days, I was out of town and attending my baby shower! But I'm back now and excited to reveal the new "Big Sister Tee". You can now order any design that you've seen on onesies, on a toddler t-shirt. This is perfect for any toddler, but especially for older siblings that might be feeling a little left out with the new baby. These can be made for big brother as well, but this one is for sister. I've even added a little ruffle to match baby sister's ruffled bum! To order visit my etsy store.

Toddler Ruffle T-Shirt

Today I completed the toddler t-shirt I started yesterday! It turned out really cute I think. It started out really boxy, so I added cap sleeves, then a ruffle around the neck. As a finishing touch I added a removable fabric corsage. It's very chic for a toddler, but definitely still wearable! I'll be adding it to my etsy store soon, but in the mean time, if you would like to order one just email me or convo me through etsy.

wednesday wednesday

The weather has been so crummy lately, which is okay with me since I have a lot of projects to get done, but it's getting old. As some of you know I'm going to Oklahoma for a few days (and a baby shower!) this weekend. So, I'm trying to get all my orders completed as well as some projects I've been wanting to do before I leave. Today I made a top secret custom order which I can't wait to show you! But you'll have to wait a few weeks until they receive it for me to unveil it. I also am starting some toddler t-shirts. It's been kind of hard for me to find a good toddler shirt, so I'm trying to make due with what I have. If anyone has any recommendations on a brand they've found that fits well, please let me know.
And since I have nothing to show you, I'll leave you with these prints by Old School Stationers I saw on DesignSponge today. I love stationary.

Anchor Onesie

Today I made a new onesie design: the Anchor! It's perfect for the summer. Nautical inspired looks are all around, why should your baby be left out? To order one, just send me a message at my etsy store (on the right hand side there is a tab for "request a custom item" about 1/2 way down, or if you go even further down there's one for "email").

Things I'm Liking

Today has been a VERY lazy day! Everyone said that during the 3rd trimester I'd feel tired, and I'm not sure if it's related to how I feel today, but I have been so sleepy! It's also cold and gray, which I'm sure doesn't help how I feel.

Anyway, since I've been so unmotivated today, I thought I'd just do a post on things I like right now. They are completely random things, so just keep that in mind! Here we go:

1. Mason jars, especially blue ones! And if you add fresh flowers, I like them even more! This picture is from wemetinabar.com

2. Large bags. I love bags, in a variety of sizes, but since we live in NY, I've been really into big ones. And it's not just this bag I love, I'm really into oil cloth fabric. I've been wanting to get some to make several projects, but I haven't gotten to it. This picture is from amybutler.com (I love everything Amy Butler makes!)

3. Bright, cheery fabrics! I love fabric, but I especially like seeing them all together. I'm the same way with flowers. There is just something even better about flowers/fabric when there are several different kinds and colors together. These are from annamaria.com (who I also love!)

4. Metal chairs, I love colored metal chairs. I've always dreamed of having a house with a big backyard complete with a great outdoor table and an eclectic mix of colorful chairs like these. I found this picture on designsponge.com

5. Ruffles! (as I'm sure you guys have noticed) I like them on any and everything! These are from evie-s.com

6. Wall decals. I don't have any, but I really like the idea of them. I had planned to use some in baby T's room, but unfortunately it's too small to have any room for them! I think this one is really clever from walldecors on etsy.

7. and finally, old cozy houses. I LOVE this style of houses. I want one so badly. I've come to accept the idea that I will not own a house until I'm 80 years old, and then it will probably just be a condo in Florida with my friend Elisa. But I still drool over them whenever I can. This one belongs to the author of ohmydeer.

New onesie design

Today I created a new design for onesies: the rocket ship! It's really cute. You might think at first, "this is for boys", but i think it would be really cute for girls too, add legwarmers and a cute headband, or ruffles on the butt for the summer, it really can go either way! let me know if you are interested in one (and as always you can check out the Ladybird Designs facebook page to see all the available designs).
